Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter di Madrasah dalam Perspektif Pesantren

This research purpose focus in the study of character education, with a focus on character education in the perspective of Islamic boarding schools, previous studies have discussed the importance of implementing character education in Islamic boarding schools. This study employs a qualitative methodology using the field research approach. methods for gathering data that include observation, documentation, and interviews. A flow model that incorporates data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing is used in the data analysis process. The character values taught to students at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Tebuireng Jombang come directly from the founder of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, namely KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, which are five, namely honesty, responsibility, hard work, tolerance, discipline which are listed in the five Basic Principles of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School. The implementation of Islamic boarding school-based character education at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Tebuireng Jombang is carried out in and outside the classroom which is divided into three stages, namely planning in the form of identifying the characters to be taught and compiling teaching modules which contain character values, implementation in the form of character education learning activities, and evaluation in the form of assessing student character and assessing the effectiveness of character. This research is intended to contribute and become a reference in the world of education, especially in the field of character education, both from the process of instilling character in students and learning that develops students' characters
